The Ku Band or high band is effected by the weather. Thick cloud and rain can cause the picture to crack. Look at the map below and see what the weather is doing in bangkok today. All times are GMT, from the Thai met office.
Satellite effected by the weather are ABS1, Thaicom 2/5, Measat 3 (Astro), NSS6, AS2, AS4, AMC33, Aglia 2, IS8
All on the KU or high band. The C band and S bands are NOT effect by the weather. Please note this radar picture
